Virat Kohli was absolutely furious with himself after being dismissed in the ongoing Eliminator game of IPL 2024 between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Unlike the recent matches, Virat Kohli did not go all out from the start and had a cautious start. With so much at stake, the former RCB captain decided not to play risky shots and mixed caution with aggression to keep the score ticking.
However, before he could shift gears and turn his start into a big goal, his former RCB teammate Yuzvendra Chahal ended his stay in the box. In the eighth over, Chahal bowled one in the slot and invited the former India captain to do it big. The leg-spinner had a man stationed in the deep and dared Virat Kohli to shoot.
The in-form batsman duly delivered as he swept. He, however, couldn’t time the ball well and Donovan Ferreira caught it near the boundary in the deep. And when Ferreira caught the ball, Virat Kohli was absolutely furious with himself for taking his wicket. The RCB opener was seen letting out a huge roar as he headed towards the dressing room.
Kohli departed after scoring 33 runs off 24 balls with the help of three fours and a six. Talking about the game, RCB were at 155 for 6 in the 19th over at the time of writing this report. With more than an over remaining, the Bengaluru-based team hopes to post a total of over 170.
The winner of the ongoing game will qualify for the second qualifier and face Sunrisers Hyderabad for a place in the title final against Kolkata Knight Riders. On the other hand, the losing team will be eliminated from IPL 2024.
