RR vs RCB: Watch: Virat Kohli and Cameron Green combine to exhaust Dhruv Jurel brilliantly

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have made it back into the ongoing Playoff against Rajasthan Royals thanks to an impressive fielding effort from Virat Kohli at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The former India captain and Cameron Green combined to finish Dhruv Jurel cheaply. Chasing 173 runs, RR got off to a bright start and were comfortably at 81 for 1 in the 10th over before Green dismissed a well-set Yashasvi Jaiswal for 45 to give his team a much-needed breakthrough.

Five runs later, Karn Sharma collected the huge wicket of Sanju Samson to reduce RR to 86 for 3. Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel then took the score past the 100-run mark. Both batsmen looked calm and had the innings under control before Virat Kohli’s heroics helped RCB turn the game around.

In the first ball of the 14th over, Virat Kohli’s efforts helped RCB get rid of Jurel and end their 26-run stand with Parag. The wicketkeeper-batsman was left without the ball while trying to complete the second run. Not many would have anticipated a breakaway but anything is possible when Virat Kohli is on the field and he proved it once again.

The former RCB captain was standing at deep square leg when Parag pulled Green’s delivery towards his left. Kohli ran to collect the ball and fired a bullet shot to the non-striker’s side, where Green did well to take the balls away in an instant before Jurel could safely return to the box. Apparently, Jurel was not expecting Kohli’s bowling and was a bit casual in his run and ultimately paid the price for it.
