Indian batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad achieved an astonishing feat against Australia in T20I cricket. He surpassed Martin Guptill and Virat Kohli to become the player with the most runs against Australia in a T20I series.
Ruturaj Gaikwad achieved the feat after his innings against Australia in the ongoing fifth match of the T20I series. The last match between the two teams will take place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, where India batted first.
Ruturaj Gaikwad, who was exceptional in the entire series, did not have a great outing in the last game, but he achieved a great feat to his name, thanks to his heroics in the series. The batsman managed just 10 runs off 12 balls with the help of two fours in the last game. He was unable to continue and was killed by Ben Dwarshuis while attempting to attack him.
Ruturaj Gaikwad started the series with a diamond duck but came back strongly in the second game. He smashed a brave half-century before producing a magical innings in the third game. The batsman smashed a sensational ton and became the first Indian batsman to score a T20I century against Australia.
In the fourth game at Raipur, Ruturaj Gaikwad played another vital hand for the team and added 32 runs to his tally before making 10 runs in the last game. With this he scored more than 220 runs in the series.
