Sameer Rizvi has registered for the IPL 2025 mega auction at base price of INR 30 lakh. The 20-year-old is a right-handed batsman and has already made his debut in the IPL.

He became a household name after the previous auction when Chennai Super Kings signed him up for a whopping amount of INR 8.4 crore. The Chennai-based team is not really known for spending big money on uncapped players, but they decided to spend big to sign the Uttar Pradesh batsman.

He caught the attention of the cricket world even before the auction with his exploits in the UP T20 League. He smashed 455 runs in the competition with the help of two centuries. Sameer also scored the most sixes for his team in the tournament.

The right-handed batsman announced his arrival in the IPL in style by hitting Rashid Khan for six. However, he failed to make much of an impact in his debut season. He played 8 matches and scored a modest 51 runs.

Delhi Capitals have signed Sameer Rizvi for 95 lakh in the mega auction IPL 2025. The only other team that bid for the batsman was Chennai Super Kings.
