Former Australian national cricket team player Brad Hogg has stated that star wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson’s father Vishwanath should apologize to Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni and Rahul Dravid for his controversial comments.
Brad Hogg stated that the comments made by Sanju Samson’s father were not at all necessary and could have put pressure on the wicketkeeper-batsman.

What did Sanju Samson’s father Vishwanath say?
Sanju Samson has cemented his place in the Indian T20I team with his consecutive centuries while opening the innings for the team.
Just after Samson became the first Indian to smash consecutive hundreds in T20I cricket, his father Vishwanath Samson made some explosive comments.
He accused legendary Indian stars MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma of wasting 10 years of his son’s career.
Vishwanath felt that the aforementioned quartet did not give his son proper opportunities, and they hurt him a lot, only to see Sanju emerge from the crisis stronger than ever.
Speaking on his official YouTube channel, Brad Hogg claimed that Samson’s father should not have made such comments about the legendary Indian cricketers. He stated:
“For Sanju Samson’s father to come out and tell the public that Dhoni, Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Dravid have set their careers back 10 years is not the ideal situation one wants to be in. They are four big names in Indian cricket. They’ “I’ve been very successful.”
Hogg highlighted how the comments made by Vishwanath could backfire and put pressure on the keeper-batsman. He also advised Samson’s father to apologize to Dravid, Dhoni, Kohli and Rohit. He stated:
“Sanju Samson is a fantastic player. He is starting to cement his place in that Indian team. He has won two hundreds in a row after that.. I feel like comments like these from the family put too much pressure on Sanju Samson to move forward. I think there has to be an apology and this is also for the benefit of Sanju Samson’s career.“.
Keep your mouth shut and let the bat do the talking – Brad Hogg
Hogg further stated that after years of working and performing consistently for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Samson had a break in the Indian team and should make his bat do the talking.
“He has established himself in the IPL. He is the captain of the Rajasthan Royals. There have been quality players, quality batsmen, who have lined up for India. It is very difficult to break through there,” the former Australian cricketer added.
“So, you have to break the process. You can’t control what the selectors say or what is in the selectors’ mind. So, for me, when it comes to situations like this, keep your mouth shut and just let the bat make the conversation”
