Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has been at his best with the ball and on the field in the ongoing match against Ireland. The game between the two teams will take place at the Turf Ground stadium at Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill, Florida.
Shaheen Afridi has oozed class with the ball in the ongoing match. He made a mockery of the top of the Irish cricket team as he was at his best with the new ball and put the opponent at a disadvantage with his bowling.
While his bowling has been sensational, Shaheen Afridi also produced a magnificent fielding effort to remove Irish batsman Mark Adair. Even though he was involved in a nasty collision with Usman Khan, the pacer caught and removed the batsman.
During the third ball of the 14th over, Imad Wasim bowled a full ball and Mark Adair looked to hit it over the cow corner. He got height than distance and Shaheen Afridi from long distance and Usman Khan from mid-wicket came running to take the catch.
Both Shaheen Afridi and Usman Khan converged as there was no call from any of the fielders. Even though there was a collision, Shaheen Afridi managed to make an inverted cup catch to send the batter packing at the Turf Ground at Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill, Florida.

Apart from Imad Wasim and Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Amir was also among the wickets. The veteran pacer picked two wickets while Haris Rauf bagged one. Based on the collective effort with the ball, Pakistan restricted Ireland to a total of 106 runs.
I always try to attack from the beginning – Shaheen Afridi
Shaheen Afridi spoke about his performance with the ball in the ongoing match against Ireland and said that he always tries to make an impact with a new ball. He admitted that picking wickets early puts the opposition under pressure and claimed the chase could be tough for his team. He stated:
“I am always trying to attack from the beginning. I was trying to bowl fuller and more inswinger. We thought the appeals were closed. If you pick wickets in the first overs, the opposition is under pressure. The new ball could be tricky,” He he concluded.
