Another BCB official made the shocking statement, saying that Shakib Al Hasan is not in a good mental state and that they did not feel the all-rounder was in the right condition to play. While speaking to Cricbuzz, he explained:

“Given his current mental state, we feel that Shakib is not fit to play. Playing franchise cricket is not the same as representing the national team.”

Shakib Al Hasan will play for Galle Marvels in the Lanka T10 League during the ODI series against the West Indies.
