The Indian politician and a burning Cricket fan, Shashi Tharoor, turned to X to support Karun Nair for his heroics in the Ranji 2024-25 trophy. He listed many of Karun’s achievements in the domestic cricket. He also stressed that selectors should consider remembering the Vidarbha batter for the next tour of England in India.
In his publication, Tharoor said, while looking back in a remarkable Ranji 2025 trophy, we have rejected a cap to Karun Nair, who followed his 86 (running) in the first entries of the final with 135 in the second entries of Vidarbha. He averaged more than 50 in his first three seasons, debuted for India in 2016 at the age of 24 and obtained a century of triple (303 was not) in just his third test. Inexplicably, India has overlooked it since then, while averaging more than 60 in the trial cryket and only a little less than 50 years in the first -class Cricket. Current form? In the 2024/25 season, Karun Nair scored 863 races in the Ranji trophy and 779 races in the Vijay Hazare trophy, with nine hundred. It has to be obvious to the selectors who remember it for the tour of England after its amazing score streak this season. ”
