Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have secured their place in the playoffs of the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) after their incredible resurgence in the tournament.
The Faf du Plessis-led RCB had a dismal start to the season with just one win in their first eight matches, but they defied the odds and clawed their way into the playoffs by winning six consecutive matches in the ongoing IPL 2024.
RCB’s dramatic turnaround ended the league stage of the ongoing IPL 2024 with a crucial 27-run win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their final league match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday, May 18 .
Despite the difficult task of restricting CSK to 17 runs in the final to secure their place in the playoffs, RCB put up a strong performance to win the game by 27 runs.

Notably, RCB will face the third-placed team in the tie at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 22, with the opponent being either Rajasthan Royals (RR) or Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
The results of today’s games (RR vs KKR and SRH vs PBKS) will decide who RCB will face in the IPL 2024 Qualifiers in Ahmedabad. KKR currently leads the IPL 2024 points table with 19 points from 13 games.
