Six boundaries in one over: Lucknow Super Giants pacer taken to the cleaners by Sri Lankan sensation [WATCH]

The incident occurred in Sri Lanka’s fourth innings.

During the ongoing first of the three-match T20I series between Sri Lanka and West Indies, Lanka opener Pathum Nissanka took a Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pacer to cleanup.

Shamar Joseph, who was signed by LSG ahead of last season’s Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) for INR 3 crore as a replacement for Mark Wood, faced a fierce attack from the Sri Lankan sensation.

The incident occurred in Sri Lanka’s fourth innings. Nissanka began by going down the track and sliding, followed by another similar throw, this time over the extra cover fielder.

Shamar Joseph bowled the next delivery wide and in an attempt to come back stronger hit the ground hard but Nissanka managed to gain superior advantage in the attempted shot as the ball flew over the keeper’s head for a boundary.

On the final delivery, he was offered wide and that was flayed past backward point and short third man for another four.

Nissanka was finally dismissed in the 16th over by Alzarri Joseph for 54 (49).
