Sandeep Sharma, on Friday (May 22), once again proved why he is so appreciated by castling Heinrich Klaasen with a beauty in the ongoing second qualifier match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
It was the 19th over of SRH’s innings and Klaasen was well prepared. The South African star had finished his fifty off 33 deliveries in the 18th over and was looking to change gears. Sanju Samson handed the ball to Sandeep Sharma to bowl the 19th over and the pacer had his task cut out against the hard-hitting batsman.
However, the right-arm pacer prevailed in style by castling Klaasen off the first ball of the over. Sandeep Sharma came up with a surprising yorker to send Klaasen back and prevent him from finishing the innings strongly for his team. The right-handed batsman departed after scoring 50 runs off 34 balls with the help of four sixes.

Talking about the game, SRH were 169 for 7 in the 20th over at the time of writing this report. While SRH got off to a fast start with the bat, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and that prevented them from posting a huge total.
Players like Travis Head (34) and Rahul Tripathi (37) also started but failed to convert them into big scores. SRH hopes to finish with a total of over 180. The winner of the ongoing game will qualify for the finals and play against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday (May 26) at the same venue.
This is SRH’s second chance to reach the finals. Earlier this week, they suffered a crushing 8-wicket defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders in the first qualifier. On the other hand, RR defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Playoff.
