Sri Lanka have lost two consecutive matches in the ongoing T20I series against India. The hosts have already lost the series after losing the first two matches. The third T20I 2024 between IND and SL allows them to end the series on a winning note.
Charith Asalanka is the captain of Sri Lanka in the series and though they have shown a decent performance, they have fallen apart against the lethal Indian team. They have failed with their teamwork and may change their strategy in the upcoming match. Below, we look at their predicted starting XI for the third T20I of IND vs SL.

Pathum Nissanka
Pathum Nissanka will also open the batting for Sri Lanka in the final game. The right-handed batsman has done a wonderful job in the series so far, scoring 79 and 32 in both games.
Kusal Mendis (WK)
Kusal Mendis will be the other opener for the home team in the final match. The right-handed batsman hit 45 off 27 in the opening game. He will also keep the stumps.
Kusal Perera
Kusal Perera will be the best man at the No. 3 position after his half-century in the last match. The left-handed batsman also has plenty of T20I experience.

Kamindu Mendis
Kamindu Mendis got off the hook for 12 runs in the first T20I but bounced back in the second game with 26 runs. He can bowl a few overs as well.
Charith Asalanka (C)
Charith Asalanka is Sri Lanka’s captain in the T20I series against India and bats in the middle order. He was bowled out for 7 runs in both games and will look to do a better job in the next one.
Dasun Shanaka
Dasun Shanaka will be a good option for a versatile pace batsman. The right-handed batsman can score runs down the order. He was bowled out for ducks in both games and came off costly with an economy of 12.0.
Wanindu Hasaranga
Wanindu Hasaranga will be a good option as an all-rounder for the team. The right-handed bowler has captured 2 wickets in 2 games at an economy of 10.33.

Ramesh Mendis
Ramesh Mendis has scored 38 runs and has made 26 in one match. He can also bowl off-spin and is an asset to the team in the playing eleven.
Matheesha Pathirana
Matheesha Pathirana would lead the hosts’ pace attack in the final game. The right-handed pace bowler picked up 4 wickets in the opening game and 1 wicket in the final match.
Don’t miss Fernando
Asitha Fernando will be another Sri Lankan player for the final match against India. The right-arm spinner picked up 1 wicket in the first match but did not get a chance in the second game due to fewer overs with DLS.
Mahesh Theekshana
Maheesh Theekshana is Sri Lanka’s most important bowler in the IND vs SL T20I series and will be part of the playing XI in the second T20I encounter. The right-handed bowler has taken just one wicket so far and will look to do better in the upcoming match.
