SRI LANKA FORM: NEPAL WASH OUT ENSURES GROUP STAGE EXIT FOR 2014 WINNERS
Although their match against Nepal being abandoned gained Sri Lanka their first point in the group stage, it also guaranteed that they won’t advance further with them now three points behind second-placed Bangladesh heading into the final round of fixtures.

NETHERLANDS FORM: ON THE BACK OF CONSECUTIVE DEFEATS AFTER BEING OUTPLAYED BY THE TIGERS
Netherlands will be disappointed at failing to capitalise on victory in their opening match vs Nepal, having followed that up with defeats against South Africa and Bangladesh respectively, the latter being particularly crucial.

SRI LANKA BETTING ANALYSIS
Over the course of this ICC T20 World Cup so far, only two Sri Lanka players have really stood out, both with the ball. Wanindu Hasaranga is an all-rounder and his leg-spin has seen him accumulate over 1.5 match wickets in each of Sri Lanka’s two completed games, so backing the same outcome this time around is worthy of consideration.
The other player who deserves credit is Nuwan Thushara, a right-arm pacer who recorded figures of just 4/18 against Bangladesh. Netherlands are still likely to try and attack Thushara, which may just play to his strengths, underlining the appeal in backing him to finish as Sri Lanka’s top bowler again.
NETHERLANDS BETTING ANALYSIS
While Netherlands lack any stand-out individuals across the competition with it having been very much a team effort on their part, the form of batter SA Engelbrecht should pique the interest of bettors.
Scores of 33 and 40 in his last two innings are impressive and multiple markets appeal when it comes to any potential investment in Engelbrecht. A small stake on him to finish as Netherlands’ top bowler for third consecutive match appeals, as does a bet on the 35-year-old to score over 17.5 match runs.
SRI LANKA VS NETHERLANDS EXPERT PREDICTION
Although it’s been a T20 World Cup campaign that Sri Lanka will want to forget, the embarrassment of potentially not winning a single group stage fixture is likely to drive them on against Netherlands, who would be overtaken by their opponents in the table should they lose. It would be no surprise if things came together here for Sri Lanka, who are a superior side if they perform to the levels that they are capable of but haven’t shown yet across the tournament. Back them to pick up the two points.
