Rohit Sharma fights in the nets:

Ahead of the third Test, Rohit Sharma struggled with his batting in the nets, according to a report in The Indian Express. The media outlet stated that the veteran opener was harassed by a net bowler while he was practicing for the crucial game.

According to the report, the Indian star found the bowler difficult to handle and was dismissed twice in consecutive deliveries. He was first beaten by a strong swinger, a delivery he has always worried about early in the innings. The inswinging delivery took away his middle stump. On the next delivery, he ended up beating a very swinging delivery.

With India missing some key players for the third Test, Rohit Sharma will have his work cut out for him. Players like Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are unavailable for the game, while Shreyas Iyer has also been dropped. In the absence of the senior batsmen, the onus will fall on Rohit Sharma to lead the team from the front.
