The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up match between USA and Bangladesh was abandoned due to adverse weather conditions. Both teams were set to face off at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas on Tuesday (May 28).

Organizers hope that conditions will improve soon and that the World T20 will not be affected. The first match of the tournament is scheduled to be played at the same venue on June 1. The ICC is now in a race against time to ensure the facilities are quickly repaired for the first match of the tournament later this week.

Before the abandoned warm-up match, USA and Bangladesh faced each other in a three-match T20I series and the former shocked their fancied opponents by clinching the series 2-1.
