India will next face the Australians in a day-night Test in Adelaide starting December 6.
The Indian team will look to secure another victory when they take on the Australians in the second Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) in Adelaide after taking a 1-0 lead in the five-match contest. The Men in Blue cruised to a convincing 295-run victory in Perth and will now hope to extend their lead in the upcoming day-night Test.
However, ahead of the contest, a talented Indian batting star will also try to eclipse a great record, held by none other than Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar.
India’s sensational opener Yashasvi Jaiwasal may be only 22 years old, but he has been breaking records since his foray. After dominating the local conditions for most of the year in the longest format, they defeated the Australians in the first Test match in Perth for a brilliant 161.

Yashasvi Jaiswal chases Sachin Tendulkar’s massive record
Following the stellar knock, Jaiswal has amassed 1,280 runs this year, including three centuries and seven half-centuries, maintaining an impressive average of 58.18 and a strike rate of 72.52, with an unbeaten 214 as his highest score.
Yashasvi Jaiswal is now just 282 runs away from surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s record for most Tests by an Indian in a single calendar year. In 2010, Sachin scored 1,562 runs with seven centuries and five fifties, averaging 78.10 in 14 matches and 23 innings. His highest score was also 214.
For the unversed, with 1,788 runs in 11 games and 19 innings at an average of 99.33 in 2006, Pakistani batting great Mohammed Yousuf holds the record for most Test runs in a calendar year.
The second AUS vs IND test is scheduled to begin on December 6.
