If the Mumbai Indians win, qualify for the playoffs. If Delhi Capitals wins, Playoffs’ career remains open.

Delhi Capitals has officially asked the Premier League of India to move his crucial party against the Mumbai Indians of Mumbai due to the threat of heavy rains. The two teams will face Wednesday night in a match that could decide the last place in the playoffs.

This is a high -risk game. If the Mumbai Indians win, qualify for the playoffs. If Delhi Capitals wins, the playoffs race remains open since both teams have one more match, each against Punjab Kings.

The heavy rain forecast asks DC to request the change of place

With meteorological forecasts that predict heavy rains in Mumbai and a yellow alert issued by the Indian Meteorology Department during the next few days, the co -owner of DC, Parth Jindal, wrote to the IPL requesting a change in the place. He mentioned that the forecast has been known for almost a week, and the possibility of washing is strong.

In an email to the IPL, which was accessed by Espncricinfo, Jindal said that the League had already changed a match between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Sunrisers Hyderabad from Bengaluru to Lucknow due to similar climatic concerns. He urged the IPL to show consistency and justice by also relocating the Mi vs DC party.

“The prognosis in Mumbai is for heavy rains and there is a strong probability that the game will be eliminated,” he wrote. “Just as the game between RCB vs SRH has moved from Bengaluru in the search for the consistency and in the interest of the League, it is my request that tomorrow’s game also moves to a different place as we have known during most of the most of the 6 days that the prognosis of 21 in Mumbai is for heavy showers.”

If the game in Mumbai is washed, both teams will get a point. This would lead me to 15 points and DC to 14, keeping both teams in dispute in dispute in their final matches.

This request occurs shortly after the Kolkata Knight Riders CEO, Venky Mysore, also raised concerns about the moment of a change of rules in the middle of the season. The IPL had introduced two additional damping time to complete rain matches. Mysore said that if this rule had been in force before, KKR’s party against RCB on May 17 may not have been abandoned. That washing ended Kkr’s hopes of playoffs.

Now, Delhi Capitals expects the IPL to take early measures to avoid a similar scenario.
