This was also their first NCL title.

A former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star led his troops brilliantly to guide Chicago CC to their first victory in the US National Cricket League (National Cricket League Sixty Strikes Tournament).

Robin Uthappa, who plied his trade with the five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) winners from 2021 to 2022, also put on an impressive display of his batting skills as Chigao CC comfortably beat the Atlanta Kings by 43 runs.

Coming out to bat first, Chicago showed their attacking intent early on in the first over, with captain Robin Uthappa leading the charge. Leonardo Julien and Mikyle Louis also made key contributions with the bat.

After Uthappa scored 35 off 15 balls, Julien (61 off 22) and Louis (43 off 17) stepped up with big contributions to help their team post a daunting total of 160 for 4 in 10 overs.

Ben Russell was the highlight among the Atlanta bowlers, taking three wickets for 28 runs in 2 overs.

Speaking of the chase, Atlanta tried its best to speed up the pace of execution, but always found itself behind the requested pace.

For Atlanta, building strong partnerships with the bat proved a challenge. Despite some standout individual performances, they struggled to maintain the required race pace. James Neesham’s 29 off 16 balls and Tom Bruce’s explosive 61 off 21 balls gave their all in pursuit of the huge target, but in the end their efforts fell short.
