The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) has received a notice of display cause by the state government for the failure of flooding light in the second hate between India and England in Cutthack on Sunday.

One of the flood lights did not work during the second tickets of the match when India was hitting 48/0 after 6.1 overs, which led the party officials to stop the play for 30 minutes, leaving the OCA and the red government .

A notice sent Monday morning by Siddhartha Das, sports director, Odisha government, said:

“The Odisha Cricket Association is aimed at presenting a detailed explanation of the cause of the interruption and identifying the people/agencies responsible for such failures and describing the measures taken to avoid similar incidents in the future.”

“The findings must be presented within 10 days after the reception of this letter,” says the notice and adds: “This incident led to a suspension of 30 minutes of the game, causing inconvenience to the players and spectators,” he added.

The Barabati stadium, which has housed two test matches, 20 ODI and three T20IS, has seen some unpleasant incidents above. The most infamous incident occurred during a 2015 T20i match between India and South Africa when the spectators threw plastic bottles into the playing field and in South African players after India lost the game.
