The Cricket Brisbane terrain in the state of Queensland in Australia, popularly known as Gabba, will demolish after the 2032 Olympic Games.

Cricket is ready to return to the Olympic Games at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games after a 128 -year -old gap and, if preserved for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games, it will probably be used for the Games.

The stadium derives its nickname because it is in Wootroongabba, a suburb in Brisbane. It was established in 1895 and has gone through many renovations and redesign.

The Gabba has also organized some of the most emblematic parties in history. Brisbane’s multitude witnessed the first tested test party between Australia and Las Antilos in December 1960. Australia also participated in the only other test tied in Chennai against India in Chepauk in 1986.

New Stadium for Cricket in Brisbane

The Queensland government has confirmed that the stadium will be demolished and Cricket will move to a new stadium with 60,000 seat capacity in the Victoria Park area in Brisbane. There were plans to demolish the gabba and rebuild it for the 2032 Olympic. But the plans announced by Queensland’s previous regime had to be discarded because the costs were estimated up to Aud 2.7 billion.

“We firmly advocate building a stadium in Victoria Park together with Queensland Cricket, the AFL and Brisbane lions, and Cricket will play an important role in the guarantee of this important investment offers long -term benefits for Cricket fans and the people of Queensland,” said Cricket Australia in a subsequent statement to the government’s announcement.

This year, the Gabba will organize the second test of the ashes from December 4 to 8. However, beyond that clash, it is uncertain if the stadium will organize other international matches.
