US-based Brosid Sports LLC on Thursday announced the launch of the inaugural edition of the Legends Intercontinental T-20 League during a press event at Shangri-La in New Delhi. The league, which will feature legendary stars from multiple continents, is scheduled to take place from August 16 to 29, 2024 at Moosa Stadium in Texas, USA.
On the occasion were former India wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel and legendary Australia pacer Bret Lee who lent their esteemed presence as supporters of the Legends Intercontinental T-20 League brand.
League CEO and former Ranji player Vishal Sharma unveiled the teams, tournament schedule and notable players for what promises to be a cricket spectacle.
Scheduled to begin on August 16, the tournament will feature seven teams (Indo Kings, Asian Avengers, Euro Rangers, American Mavericks, Trans-Tasman Titans, African Lions and Caribbean Vikings) all competing for the inaugural title. The LIT-20 will be played in a round-robin format, with the top four teams at the end of the league stage advancing to the knockout stage. A total of 24 exciting matches will be played, with each day featuring double matches. The semi-final will take place on August 27, followed by the grand final on August 28.

This is the start of something special and we are excited to embark on this journey with stars like Parthiv Patel, Brett Lee, TM Dilshan and Graeme Swann present with us today in this. special occasion.”
Expressing his excitement about associating with the Legends Intercontinental T-20 League, Dilshan said, “I think the Legends Intercontinental T-20 League will be amazing. We can share our memories. Those days we played together, fought on the field and shared a great rivalry. Still, people want to see the legends playing, so we are excited and eager to compete in what will be a cricket spectacle.”
Lending his support to the league, former Australian pacer Lee said: “It’s always great for us to see guys I’ve played against my whole career. I think it’s great to see the sport do it. It gives us the opportunity to catch “And now with legends in front of our team, it’s going to be a lot of fun, so we’re looking forward to what’s in store for the players and it’s great.”
Legendary players such as Graeme Swann, TM Dilshan and Liam Plunkett have confirmed their participation in the inaugural season of the Legends Intercontinental T-20 League. The full list of players will be announced in the days leading up to the tournament.
