Fans on Twitter reacted after the Indian National Cricket Team won the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka after their second consecutive win. They defeated the island nation by seven wickets at the Pallekele International Stadium in Pallekele to take an unassailable 2-0 lead.
When asked to bat, Sri Lanka did not have a great opening performance as Kusal Mendis came back to the pitch to score ten runs in the fourth over. But after that, the hosts took control of the game with Pathum Nissanka (32) and Kusal Perera (53) batting excellently.
The duo put on 54 runs for the second wicket. Kamindu Mendis (26) made a vital contribution as Sri Lanka cruised on 130 for two. However, after that, the Indian bowlers changed the complexion of the game as they picked quick wickets and restricted the flow of runs.
Sri Lanka failed to build on the good start they made with the bat as they posted a total of 161 for nine. For India, Ravi Bishnoi took three wickets while Arshdeep Singh, Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya took two scalps each.
Rain interrupted the second innings and India set a target of 78 runs in eight overs. They had a poor start to their innings as Sanju Samson took a golden duck. But after that, Yashasvi Jaiswal (30) and captain Suryakumar Yadav (26) batted aggressively and put the opposition under pressure.
After that, Hardik Pandya (22) finished the game on a high as India chased down the target with seven wickets in hand and won the first series with Suryakumar Yadav as captain and Gautam Gambhir as coach.

Yashasvi Jaiswal became the first player to score 1000 runs in international cricket in 2024.
