Former England Cricketer Michael Vaughan praised Indian batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal for his heroics on Day 3 of the ongoing third Test in Rajkot. He said the young batsman is the next superstar in all formats and in all conditions.

India had a dominant day in the Rajkot Test and it is fair to say they have the game under control. As the day began, they were rocked by the knock of Ravichandran Ashwin, who withdrew from the team due to a medical emergency in the family.

However, India stood firm against all odds. First they ended England’s innings with 319 runs, taking a lead of 126 runs, and then they were sensational with the bat. One of the main reasons behind their dominance on the field was young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal, who set the stage on fire and played stellar innings.

Yashasvi Jaiswal continued her dream career in Test cricket as she slammed another century and put India in a dominant position. The batsman played slowly up front, but once he paid attention, he took the game away from the opposition with his aggressive innings and batted superbly well.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his third Test century in 122 balls and made many stand up and applaud him. The batsman made a brilliant acceleration after a slow start and made sure to put England on the back foot and helped India take a lead of over 200 runs with ease in the match.

Yashasvi Jaiswal made no mistake in his innings as he scored 104 runs off 133 balls and also hit 9 fours and 5 sixes in his innings. The batter was retired injured and then returned to the pavilion. He is now expected to bat tomorrow and pick up where he left off.

“Next, superstar of all formats and all conditions”: Michael Vaughan’s rich praise for Yashasvi Jaiswal

After his magnificent innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal impressed many with his heroism. The batsman made Michael Vaughan go crazy over him. The former England cricketer was impressed with the way the game unfolded on Day 3 of the Test match in Rajkot.

Michael Vaughan thinks it was a fascinating day for India. He feels Ravichandran Ashwin’s absence from the match seems to have galvanized the group. He also praised Yashasvi Jaiswal for changing the context of the game. On his Twitter account, he explained:

“Another fascinating day’s play… England for all the wrong reasons and India for all the right reasons… the loss of @ashwinravi99 seems to have galvanized the group… And @ybj_19 is the next superstar of all formats and all the conditions”.

During his innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal also joined Virat Kohli in this unique feat. He became the first Indian batsman since Virat Kohli to score more than 400 runs in a Test series between India and England. The senior batsman scored 593 runs during the 2018 Test series against England. The young opener would want to add more to his tally and even surpass Virat to write history.
