When Australia and England align for national hymns before a match at a ICC event, you want national hymns of respective teams to play. But for a strange reason, the sound system in the National Stadium in Karachi, expelled the National Anthem of India, Jana Ganas Mana, on Saturday before the clash of Group B.
The rise in stadium operators attracted huge teasing of the local crowd inside the stadium, since it was interrupted immediately. It could be a shameful moment for the Cricket board of Pakistan (PCB), which had done the importance of not having the Indian flag before the first game and then having it in the next game.
The PCB had also complained to the International Cricket Council (ICC) by the Indian shirt that did not have the name of the host nation under the Champions Trophy record.
India has not traveled to Pakistan for a bilateral series or a multinations tournament near two decades citing safety reasons and visa problems.
For Champions Trophy 2025, there will be no participation of Indian party officials who cannot travel to their neighboring country due to the same concerns.
