While sidelining some, GT can also try to keep some not-so-popular players and try to build a team around them.
After enjoying two fantastic seasons to begin their IPL journey, the Gujarat Titans (GT) endured a tough last edition. They could only win five games and finished in eighth position with 12 points.
Some big changes are expected before the next edition, and it will be interesting to see GT holdouts and releases. They could leave out some quality players and build a new one, as they had several holes in their team.
While sidelining some, GT can also try to keep some not-so-popular players and try to build a team around them. We look at three impact holds that GT can make ahead of the IPL 2025 auction.
Shahrukh Khan
Last year, GT got Shahrukh Khan for INR 7.40 crore, but barring a few knocks, his performances were mostly disappointing. However, he is a solid hitter, can be flexible with his batting stance and can also pitch a bit.
Furthermore, it is also not capped, so GT can fetch it for INR 4 crore, which could be close to its auction value. Pace-setters are not easily available in the Indian market, and Shahrukh’s experience gives him a better chance of success.

Robin Minz
After selling for INR 3.6 crore, Robin Minz did not appear in the latest issue due to an accident. However, he is still young and can be a long-term investment, so GT can keep him ahead of the mega auction.
GT is set to part ways with Wriddhiman Saha and Matthew Wade and will need a quality batsman. This is where they can invest in Robin and with the huge potential he has, it will surely turn out well sooner or later.
Noor Ahmed
Due to the presence of Rashid Khan, Gujarat Titans might be tempted to leave out Noor Ahmad. However, GT can try to retain him as he will complete their bowling department and will be a perfect partner for Rashid as they know each other’s game very well.
Noor is a real wicket-taker, so even if teams play against Rashid, they will still succumb to Noor. Since he is only 19 years old, he will only get better from here on out and will be a long-term investment for the Titans.
