India and South Africa are all set to face off in the second Test of the ongoing India-South Africa 2023-24 tour. The second Test between India and South Africa will begin on Wednesday, January 3. The match between India and South Africa will take place at the Newlands Cricket Stadium in Cape Town.

Later, SA opener Dean Elgar scored 185 runs to take the score to a mammoth total of 408-10. David Bedingham (56) and Marco Jansen (84*) also reached the half century. For India, Jasprit Bumrah bagged the most 4 wickets. However, the Indian bowlers failed to get the better of the Proteas batsmen early on.

In the second innings, Rohit Sharma & Co. trailed by 163 runs. However, they were bowled out for just 131 to witness a heavy defeat by an innings and 32 runs. Virat Kohli was the only batsman to score a marvelous knock of 76 runs.
Notably, India lost 8 batsmen for single-digit scores, excluding Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill, who added 76 and 26 respectively. KL Rahul and Virat Kohli were the only two batsmen who put up a good show in the first Test.
