Adam Zampa (Hyderabad Dawns)

Adam Zampa, the Australian spinner, was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 2.40 crore in the IPL 2025 auction. Known for his deceptive spin, consistency and wide range of deliveries, the 32-year-old has established himself as an option lethal to take land.

In his 20 IPL appearances, Zampa has claimed 29 wickets, his best performance being 6/19. Given his impressive record, he is expected to be a regular in SRH’s starting XI for the upcoming season.

Maheesh Theekshana (Rajasthan Royals)

Maheesh Theekshana was bought by Rajasthan Royals for INR 4.4 crore after being released by Chennai Super Kings ahead of the IPL 2025 auction. He is known for his ability to control the score and take crucial wickets. Theekshana’s skills make him a valuable addition to HR’s effects department.

In 27 IPL matches, Theekshana has taken 25 wickets, his best performance being 4/33. Given his consistent form, he is expected to feature in RR’s starting XI alongside international teammate Wanindu Hasaranga.

Wanindu Hasaranga (Rajasthan Royals)

Rajasthan Royals have secured all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga for INR 5.25 crore, bolstering their team with a proven winner in limited overs cricket. Hasaranga has emerged as a standout player in the T20s, contributing significantly with both the ball and bat.

Hasaranga is known for his wicket-taking skills. He represents a constant threat to opposing batsmen on any surface. Apart from his bowling skills, he is a reliable lower order batsman. Can score quickly, adding depth to the HR lineup. With his all-round prowess, Hasaranga will become a key player for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025. He will be joined by his international teammate Maheesh Theekshana.

Mitchell Santner (Mumbai Indians)

Mumbai Indians picked Mitchell Santner for his base price of Rs 2 crore in the IPL 2025 auction. CSK released him before the auction. Although he had limited opportunities at CSK, Santner is known for his ability to produce winning performances with the ball. This makes him a valuable addition to MI’s lineup.

MI faced challenges last season due to the lack of a foreign player, and Santner fills that gap perfectly. His ability to contribute with the bat in the lower-middle order further enhances his value, positioning him as a key player for MI in the upcoming season.

Noor Ahmad (Chennai Super Kings)

Chennai Super Kings acquired 19-year-old left-arm wrist spinner Noor for INR 10 crore after being released by Gujarat Titans. He quickly made a mark in cricket, making his IPL debut with GT in 2023 and taking 16 wickets in 13 matches. In the 2024 season, Noor claimed 8 wickets in 10 matches.

Noor has the ability to generate sharp turns. His clever variations make him a key asset, especially during powerplays and death overs. With experience in T20 leagues around the world, he adds valuable depth to CSK’s bowling attack. This attack already has established stars like Jadeja and Ashwin.
