‘Unbelievable drama’: Batsman called back from dressing room after controversial exit in WI vs BAN 3rd T20I [WATCH]

The batsman made the most of his lifeline, smashing an unbeaten 72 off 41 balls to guide Bangladesh to a commanding victory.

In the third T20I between West Indies and Bangladesh, an unusual and dramatic incident took place that left everyone stunned.

Bangladesh batsman Jaker Ali was called back from the dressing room after a mix-up, creating a rare moment of tension and confusion on the field.

Jaker Ali was sent back to the Pavilion and then removed after referee review

The incident occurred in the third ball of the 15th over when a massive mix-up between the two batsmen led to Jaker Ali being sent running towards the pavilion. Jaker, visibly furious with his partner, had pushed a flatter delivery from R Chase towards the mid-wicket region, looking for a single. Pooran ran towards the ball as there was no defender in front of the leg-side square.

Jaker, who wanted the second, counterattacked, but Shamim, looking at the ball, rejected the run. Jaker continued his comeback and Pooran bowled the ball to Chase who quickly removed the balls and both batsmen ended up at the same end.

As Jaker entered the pavilion, the TV umpire checked whether Shamim had rested his bat on the striker’s side before Jaker crossed it. Drama unfolded when the television umpire confirmed that Shamim’s bat was in the air and not landed inside the crease, while Jaker had been a fraction quicker, dragging his bat.

The fourth official then went upstairs and called Jaker Ali back from the locker room. The two batsmen crossed paths without exchanging a word, leaving behind a dramatic moment at the Arnos Vale stadium.

Bangladesh’s dominant performance sees West Indies fall short in third T20I

Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first on a pitch that favored the batsmen. Despite Emon Hossain’s good start (39), Bangladesh lost their captain Litton Das for just 14.

However, the team maintained a steady flow of runs and drama unfolded in the 15th over with a bizarre mix-up between Shamim Hossain and Jaker Ali.

Ali was initially sent to the dressing room, but after a review by the television referee, the decision was overturned and it was Shamim who was dismissed. Jaker Ali made the most of his lifeline, scoring an unbeaten 72 off 41 balls to guide Bangladesh to a commanding total of 189/7.

In response, West Indies crumbled under pressure, losing wickets at regular intervals. By the seventh over, half the team was back in the pavilion and no batsman could anchor the chase. Despite Romario Shepherd battling 33 off 27 balls, West Indies were bowled out for just 109/10.

Bangladesh bowlers, led by Rishad Hossain (3/21), completed a dominant performance, securing an easy 80-run win and securing the series 3-0.
