Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir and batsman Virat Kohli held hands for a heart-to-heart ahead of the first Test match against Bangladesh. Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli joked about their on-field altercations and decided to put aside their differences to have a chat with the Indian fans.
You can answer that question – Gautam Gambhir
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) organised an unfiltered chat between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli. The duo has put their differences behind them ever since Gambhir was appointed as India’s head coach. The BCCI shared a teaser of their conversation and the video has gone viral.
“When you’re batting and you’re having a bit of a conversation with the opposing team, did you ever feel like that might lead to you getting out of the zone and potentially getting run out, or did it put you in a more motivated state?” Kohli said.
“You have had more altercations than I have. I think you can answer that question better than I can,” Gambhir said.
“The main thing is that everyone agrees with what I have to say. It’s not that there is no one who agrees. If there is no one who agrees with what I have to say, I am just looking for someone who agrees with what I have to say. I am not saying it is wrong. At least someone should say yes, this is what is happening,” Kohli replied (laughing).
