Former RCB legend AB de Villiers believes Virat Kohli would be disappointed for not being able to finish the match against Punjab Kings (PBKS). AB de Villiers also praised Virat Kohli for his spectacular knock against Punjab Kings in match 6 of IPL 2024.
Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to victory with his 77-run knock against the Shikhar Dhawan-led team. Batting as an opener, the right-handed batsman smashed 2 sixes and 11 fours during his innings. He held the crease until the 16th over, when he lost his wicket to seamer Harshal Patel.

AB de Villiers greets Virat Kohli after decisive knock against PBKS
After the match, IPL 2024 commentator AB de Villiers spoke about Virat Kohli’s innings at Jio Cinema. The South African stalwart feels that Kohli would be disappointed if he did not finish the match against Punjab Kings.
“I saw some signs on the field while they were there in the first half. I could see true dedication, commitment and motivation in his eyes. “This guy means business tonight and no one will stand in his way,” De Villiers said.
“Unfortunately, he didn’t finish the back the way he would have wanted. Knowing him, she will be analyzing tonight in her room. Like, ‘why didn’t I finish that game?’ Too hard on yourself? Sometimes,” he further added.

AB de Villiers also added that Kohli is an incredible player and played fantastically against Punjab Kings.
“He’s just an incredible player. He played fantastically well tonight. He kept his composure, stayed in the game and made the right shots. He really did it. And it wasn’t just the big guys,” concluded the former right-handed hitter.
After Kohli lost his wicket in the 16th over, Dinesh Karthik continued his knock. With his 28 runs off 10 balls, Karthik captured the winning runs for the team. Mahipal Lomror also provided magnificent support, adding 17 not out in 8 balls.

Kohli equals MS Dhoni’s record for most POTM awards
Virat Kohli also equaled the record of 17 man of the match awards with MS Dhoni. Early in the match against CSK, he lost his wicket cheaply for 21 runs. However, he made a strong comeback against Punjab Kings.
