Virat Kohli races to join Sir Don Bradman in Australia

Star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is on the verge of equaling legendary Australian cricketer Don Bradman’s massive 76-year-old Test record during the ongoing BGT 2024-25 series. Virat Kohli has a chance to equal Don Bradman’s record of most international hundreds by a batsman in a visiting country.

Kohli arrived in Australia after a disappointing series against New Zealand, where he managed just 93 runs in three Tests. However, he returned to his best form in the first Test against Australia in Perth. The star batsman scored an unbeaten century in the second innings as India secured a 295-run victory.

Virat Kohli set to break Sachin Tendulkar’s record

Virat is on the verge of breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s record in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Tendulkar currently holds the record for most centuries in the series with 9. Kohli just needs one more century to surpass him and become the first player to score 10 centuries in the BGT series.

Kohli’s best knock in Australia came during the 2014-15 tour of India when he scored 169 in the Melbourne Test. The second test of the 2024-25 BGT will begin on Friday, December 6 at the Adelaide Oval. Rohit Sharma’s team will be eager to continue their winning momentum in the pink ball contest.
