On Monday, December 11, the Indian National Cricket Team Batting maestro Virat Kohli was revealed as the most searched cricketer in Google’s 25-year history.
Kohli is considered one of the all-time cricketing greats. The 35-year-old has broken numerous all-time records and is still going strong. Kohli is one of the fittest cricketers on the planet and it will not be a surprise if he continues for 5 more years and breaks and creates more iconic cricket records.
Since his debut in 2008, Virat Kohli has played 518 matches in international cricket. He has scored 26532 runs at an average of 54.36 and a strike rate of 79.41. He has scored 80 centuries and 138 half-centuries in his career. Virat Kohli is the second highest century scorer in international cricket, only behind Sachin Tendulkar’s 100 tons.
He was recently seen in action at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India and the 35-year-old was in exceptional form. He scored the most runs in the main tournament and won the Player of the Tournament award. He scored 765 runs in 11 matches, at an average of 95.62 and a strike rate of 90.32.
During the tournament, he also broke Sachin Tendulkar’s massive record for most centuries in ODI cricket and now has 50 ODI tons to his name.
Meanwhile, tech giant Google shared a video on December 11 featuring a comprehensive compilation of the most searched topics in its 25-year history. And Virat Kohli appeared in the video as the most wanted cricketer ever.

Virat Kohli will be next seen in action against South Africa
India’s tour of South Africa 2023-24 consists of a three-match T20I series, a three-match ODI series and a two-match Test series.
The Men in Blue and the Proteas will play two test matches to conclude the series with the first test starting on December 26 in Centurion. The second and final test will be held from January 3 in Cape Town.
Virat Kohli along with captain Rohit Sharma called for a break for the white-ball leg of the tour against South Africa, but the duo will return to action in the two-match Test series.
