Washington Sundar has continued his impressive form since the second Test, as he takes the wicket of Tom Latham and Rachin Ravindra on Day 1 of the third Test.

In the ongoing third Test match between India and New Zealand in Mumbai, Washington Sundar continued his impressive form from the second Test, as he takes the wicket of Tom Latham on Day 1 of the Test match.

The incident took place on the last ball of the 16th over. Washington Sundar bowled an excellent delivery that came in from outside off, held its line and tempted Tom Latham to take a shot. The ball held its line long enough to miss Latham’s outside edge and hit the off stump instead. Sundar celebrated as India took their second wicket. It was the tone of Sundar’s speech that caught Latham off guard; He played down the line but was outplayed by Sundar’s clever bowling.

A few overs later, on the last ball of the 20th over, Washington Sundar strikes again, this time dismissing Ravindra. Similar to Latham’s dismissal, Sundar bowled a beautiful delivery that headed towards the left-hander. This prompted Ravindra to move forward to defend, but the ball spun enough to evade his outside edge and crash into the stump. Ravindra walked away shaking his head and Sundar celebrated his second wicket of the Test.

Washington Sundar has continued his impressive form, having taken 11 wickets in the 2nd Test and now adding 2 more to his tally in the 3rd Test.

India take 3 wickets and New Zealand are 92-3 at the end of the first session of Day 1 of the 3rd Test.

In a crucial third Test, India lost the toss and bowled first, putting up a strong performance during the first session. Akash Deep claimed the first wicket by dismissing Devon Conway cheaply. Tom Latham and Will Young built a 44-run partnership before Washington Sundar came into the attack. Continuing his excellent form, he took the wickets of Latham and Rachin Ravindra in the 16th and 20th overs respectively. At the end of the session, New Zealand are 92 for 3.
