Akash Deep's heartwarming gesture for fans

India pacer Akash Deep won the hearts of fans with his incredible gesture during Day 1 of the ongoing 5th Test against England. The match between the two teams will be held at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala.

Akash Deep was dropped from the Indian XI for the ongoing fifth game. The fast bowler made way for Jasprit Bumrah, who returned after being rested for the fourth Test. Even though he was not playing, Akash made sure to draw attention to his gesture.

During day 1 of the game, fans asked Akash Deep, who was walking on the sidelines of the boundary ropes with drinks in his hand, for water. The fast bowler, however, did not think for a moment and threw the bottle towards the fans.

Coming to the ongoing Test match between India and England in Dharamshala, Day 1 of the game was taken care of by the hosts. The one led by Ben Stokes won the toss and was put in to bat first. They were tested a lot by Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, who did the ball movement quite well.

But openers Zak Crawley (79) and Ben Duckett (27) negotiated the difficult phase well and added 64 runs for the opening stand. It looked like England would put the score on the board. But with the way the Indian spinners bounced things back incredibly well.

Kuldeep Yadav took a fife and broke the backbone of England’s batting line-up before Ravichandran Ashwin wrapped up the tail with his four-wicket haul. India outscored their opponents by just 218 runs and then had an amazing outing with the bat as well.

Yashavi Jaiswal (57) and Rohit Sharma (52*) scored magnificent half-centuries and added 104 runs opening the partnership. Shubman Gill (26*) looked solid at the crease as India ended Day 1 on a high. The hosts were 135-1 and were 83 runs behind England’s total.
