Indian all-rounder Axar Patel has brought his team back into action in the first T20I against the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team. The first match of the three-match series between the teams is currently underway at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele.

After scoring a total of 213 runs, Sri Lanka have been sensational with the bat. They have put India under pressure with their brutal batting display and made the Indian bowlers look clueless. The main man behind that was opening batsman Pathum Nisanka.

Pathum Nissanka was batting really well after a slow start. But once he got going, he made sure to put his team in a dominant position. The right-hander hit bowlers all over the park and was taking the game away from India.

But it was Axar Patel who struck a timely blow for his team. On the first ball of the 15th over, the all-rounder bowled a delivery from the wicket a considerable distance away. The ball slid off his arm and Pathum Nissanka stepped back to try and cut it.

Pathum Nissanka was outpaced by the speed of Axar Patel’s ball. The ball slipped under the batsman’s paddle and crashed into the batsman’s leg stump, causing him to lose control at the crucial moment of the first match.
