Babar Azam will have something to prove in the Test series against Bangladesh

Ahead of the Test series against the Bangladesh national cricket team, many eyes will be on Babar Azam. The right-hander has been struggling to get going in the longest format of the game of late and would like to silence his critics.

Babar has also been under a lot of scrutiny since the 2024 T20 World Cup. Under his leadership, the team faced a group-stage exit and, on top of that, their form was not that great. The right-hander would want to make an impact in Test cricket and with the series being held at home, it will be a great opportunity for him to stage a comeback.

Babar Azam has not registered a single fifty in the longest format of the game since 2022. In the 10 innings he played last year, he scored just 204 runs and he also failed miserably in the Test series against Australia where he scored 103 runs at an average of 20.60 with a top score of 41 to his name.
