Ben Stokes was dismissed in the 22nd over of England’s second innings during the Test. Noman Ali bowled a full pitch that reached the left-handed batsman. Stokes decided to leave the ball, which hit his pads in front of the stumps. Referee Chris Gaffaney ruled Stokes LBW, leaving England at 70/5.

England won the first Test by an innings and 47 runs. Pakistan made a strong comeback by achieving a victory by 152 runs. They ended a streak of 11 Tests without a win (seven losses and four draws). Pakistan are on the verge of claiming their first Test victory since beating South Africa in the 2020-21 season.
