Ben Stokes and his doppelganger

England national cricket team captain Ben Stokes has made his presence felt in the ongoing test match against Sri Lanka national cricket team. Despite his injury and absence from the team, the captain made sure to contribute his bit to the team.

Stokes has been with the England cricket team for the test match against the Sri Lankan cricket team. The match between the two teams, which is currently in its third day, is being held at Old Trafford in Manchester.

On the third day of the match between the England national cricket team and the Sri Lanka national cricket team, there were two Ben Stokes. The double of the hosts’ Test captain appeared in the stands, creating quite a stir and even catching the attention of the all-rounder in the team dugout in Manchester.

The stadium cameras detected a Stokes double. Noticing he was being watched, he raised his arms and received a thumbs up from the England captain in recognition.

After that, the stuntman removed his black jacket and revealed Stokes’ England Test shirt with ‘Stokesy’ and the number 55 written on it.

Here is the video.

However, this was not the first time that Ben Stokes’ lookalike was spotted in the stands. He even made his presence felt during England’s recently concluded series against the West Indies National Cricket Team. He was present during Day 4 of the second Test.

At this point, England captain Stokes was also stunned. All-rounder Paul Collingwood, the team’s coach, burst into laughter as Stokes smiled and then made a funny face with his hands. This time, he also entertained the crowd.

Ben Stokes will miss the entire summer of English trials after suffering a hamstring injury in the 2024 Hundred

Meanwhile, Stokes has been ruled out of the entire summer Test. This came after the England national cricket team captain suffered the injury while playing in the Hundred for Northern Superchargers against Manchester Originals. He grabbed his hamstring while attempting to take the quick single.

Stokes underwent scans and was subsequently ruled out for the entire English summer. He played a decent role for the team in the last Test series against the West Indies National Cricket Team as he chipped in with both bat and ball and helped the team complete a 3-0 win.

In the absence of Ben Stokes, the England National Cricket Team appointed Ollie Pope as the team’s Test captain for the series against the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team.

The hosts, under his leadership, are enjoying a great moment in the game and look to be the favourites to win the match. They have bowled and batted very well as they first bowled out the opposition for 236 runs and then scored 358 runs in reply. In the second innings, they took 5 wickets quickly.
