Devdutt Padikkal is not only known for his batting talent but also for his excellent catching skills. During Day 1 of the Iran Cup match between Rest of India and Mumbai, Padikkal made a stunning catch to pick up Prithvi Shaw’s big wicket.
Rest of India won the toss and elected to play first in Lucknow. During the third over of Mumbai’s first innings, Mukesh Kumar collected the huge wicket of Prithvi Shaw. Mukesh bowled a good length ball outside off stump and Shaw couldn’t resist and tried to flick the ball through the covers.
But the batsman got an outside edge and flew towards Padikkal’s right. Padikkal moved perfectly and caught the ball with both hands while diving towards his right at second slip. It was a masterclass in catching by the talented batsman.
