Indian National Cricket Team senior players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, along with wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, met their former coach Rahul Dravid. This came before the first Test of the three-match series against the New Zealand national cricket team.
Rahul Dravid, with whom the Indian national cricket team won the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup, attended the team’s practice session at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The Rohit Sharma-led team will play the first match of the series at the same venue starting Wednesday (October 16).
In a video that went viral on the internet, Rahul Dravid can be seen sharing some laughs as the T20 World Cup winning group, which included captain Rohit, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant. This was the first time they caught up after the victory celebrations.

Rahul Dravid’s tenure as India head coach
Rahul Dravid was appointed head coach of the Indian national cricket team in 2021 after Ravi Shastri’s tenure ended. The former captain of the team changed the approach of the team they were playing against in all three formats of the game.
Under Dravid, the team lost the semi-final of the 2022 T20 World Cup, the final of the ICC World Test Championship in 2023 and the final of the 2023 ICC World Cup at home. But Rohit Sharma convinced him to continue till the 2024 T20 World Cup.
And in the T20 World Cup, India, under him, played quality cricket. They remained undefeated and became the first team in tournament history to win the event without even losing a single game. They defeated South Africa in the final.

The Indian national cricket team has started its preparations for the Test against the New Zealand national cricket team. The top batsmen did not have a great performance in the test series against the Bangladesh national cricket team. They failed to get going in both games and would be keen to get some runs under their belt.
