Watch: Faf du Plessis uses one-handed screamer to eliminate Shadab Khan in Abu Dhabi T10 League

South Africa national cricket team batsman Faf du Plessis defines the phrase “age is just a number”. The right-hander produced a sensational effort on the field during the Qualifier 2 of the Abu Dhabi T10 game between Morrisville Samp Army and Delhi Bulls.

Playing for Morrisville Samp Army, Faf du Plessis came up with the wonder that put his team on top of the game and sent Delhi Bulls batsman Shadab Khan packing for a two-ball duck in the bowling by Afghan national Amir Hamza.

Shadab Khan, who came to bat at No. 3, was on the receiving end of Faf du Plessis’ brilliance. On the second ball he faced, he tried to play the lofted shot over covers, and it looked like the ball would pass to the fielder inside covers. But the former Proteas captain came up with a surprise.

Du Plessis was running back to stop the ball and saw that he could catch it. He jumped and grabbed the ball with one hand, reflecting his agility and athleticism at the age of 40.
