[WATCH] Hardik Pandya equals famous Virat Kohli’s scored shot for six to set social media on fire

Both shots were identical for numerous reasons; both had supreme timing and the power came from a solid base from both hitters.

Hardik Pandya played a similar shot during the third T20I against Bangladesh as Virat Kohli played against Corey Anderson in IPL 2017. Both shots had amazing power and although it didn’t seem like it at first, both traveled over the ropes to hit the maximum .

Tanzim Hasan Sakib attempted a yorker but ended up bowling full and inside the groove, and Hardik sank deep into his crease and whipped it over deep extra cover for the maximum. He didn’t really try to overdo it; Hardik simply guided the ball in his direction, but the amount of power he had made the ball fly.

Similarly, Corey Anderson bowled a slot delivery and Kohli stepped forward and used his wrists to guide it over the covers region. Although he didn’t use any significant power in his shot, the timing was impeccable and the willow contact was as sweet as it could get.

Both shots were identical for numerous reasons; both had supreme timing and the power came from a solid base from both hitters. The shot was as clean as possible and like Kohli’s shot, Hardik’s shot too will be remembered for a long time.

Hardik Pandya wins Player of the Series award for consistent performances

While India had several positives to take away from the T20I series, Hardik Pandya’s all-round show probably stood out. He was the second highest run-scorer on the rubber, accumulating 118 runs at an average of 59 and a strike rate of 222.64.

His scores in the three games were: 39* (16), 32 (19) and 47 (18), scoring all the impactful runs while occupying different positions in each game. More than these scores, his hitting range, especially against pace, was more notable as Hardik played some outrageous shots throughout the series.

Furthermore, he also took a solitary wicket and conceded only 8.28 runs per over in seven sets of the series. His bowling was more impressive than the one wicket he had to show, because he executed his plans consistently.

He has been in good rhythm since the 2024 T20 World Cup and has continued his good work in this home series. His all-round performances earned him the Player of the Series award.
