You don’t want to swing, you do it somewhere – Jasprit Bumrah
During the fourth over, the Indian players expressed concern about the ball and asked the umpire to inspect it. The ball passed the meter and was returned to Mohammed Siraj. In the next over, Jasprit Bumrah struggled to find his swing and expressed frustration that the ball was not swinging much.

Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney remain undefeated before rain interruption
Australian openers Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney seemed to be in control in the first session. They scored 28 runs without losing any wicket in the 13.2 overs bowled in the morning session. Persistent rain and heavy downpours led to an early lunch. The second session of the day is likely to disappear.
In the first session, Nathan McSweeney scored 4 runs, while Usman Khawaja added 19 off 47 balls. Jasprit Bumrah bowled six overs, including three maidens, and conceded just eight runs. Akash Deep, who replaced Harshit Rana, bowled 3.2 overs and conceded just two runs before rain interrupted play.
My only concern would be Jasprit Bumrah’s fitness – Sunil Joshi
Former Indian spinner Sunil Joshi said pacer Prasidh Krishna could provide support to Bumrah in the remainder of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. In an interview with TOI, Joshi expressed concern over Bumrah’s fitness and emphasized the importance of managing his workload.
“From now on, my only concern would be Jasprit Bumrah’s fitness because we saw that he had a problem in the Adelaide Test. Given that scenario, it is important how well the Indian think tank will utilize Jasprit Bumrah for the Adelaide matches. remaining test. India can “Always look at Prasidh Krishna, who is a very good fast bowler and also tall, and he played the Duleep Trophy matches in top form, so that is an option,” Joshi said.
Prasidh Krishna has played just two Tests for India, both during their recent tour of South Africa. He also impressed in the Australia A matches before the Test series. He took 10 wickets at an average of 5.30 pm. The ongoing five-match Test series between India and Australia is balanced at 1-1.
