Dhananjaya de Silva and Kamindu Mendis forged a substantial partnership to extend the team’s lead in the second innings. The duo added over 100 runs for the seventh wicket, leaving Bangladesh eager to secure a breakthrough and regain momentum in the game.
Khaled Ahmed made a daring attempt to beat Kamindu Mendis in the non-striker’s zone on day three. While there appeared to be a possible exit at the player’s end before the delivery was delivered, the attempt to dislodge the stumps was unsuccessful.
