Star India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal got off to the worst possible start in the Adelaide Test when Mitchell Starc dismissed him for a golden duck. Jaiswal, who was attacking the first ball of the match, was clueless about a brilliant full delivery from Starc.
Starc bowled a full ball over leg stump which spun towards Jaiswal’s stump. The batsman crossed and missed an attempted flick towards the leg side and was hit right on the bag in front of the leg stump.
After a brief appeal, the referee ruled it out. Yashasvi Jaiswal was caught just in front of the stumps and was dismissed for ducking on the first ball. He consulted with his opening partner KL Rahul about the DRS but eventually decided to bow out.
