Indian national cricket team leader Mohammed Siraj bowled exceptionally well in the third T20I of the three-match series against the South Africa national cricket team at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

Siraj looked a class apart in the third T20I and bowled a sensational spell with the new ball. He even bowled a maiden, but the pacer was very unlucky as he could not get any wicket.

However, it put enough pressure on the batsmen that the Indian bowlers utilized it and picked up wickets at regular intervals. Mohammed Siraj was also great in the field and on the second ball of the fourth over he produced a brilliant direct hit to dismiss the explosive opener, Reeza Hendricks.

Arshdeep Singh bowled a length ball to Reeza Hendricks on middle stump and the batsman played it towards mid-on. He went for a single but Siraj quickly picked up the ball and hit a direct hit to the non-striker’s side to find Reeza Hendricks short. He was dismissed after scoring 8 runs in 13 balls, with 1 four.

Speaking after the match, India captain Suryakumar Yadav, who won the Player of the Match and Player of the Series awards, said they wanted to play a swashbuckling brand of cricket. He also praised Kuldeep Yadav for his magnificent bowling performance. He said:

“I’m fine. I’m walking, very well. Always a good feeling. When it’s a winning cause, it makes me happier. We wanted to play some kind of swashbuckling cricket. The idea was to bat first, put some runs on the board and defend .

“The guys work day in and day out. Happy they showed some character. He is never happy. He is always hungry. He is a nice self-gift on his birthday. I mean it’s important to know your game. I just go out and have fun. Balance is important.”
