Legendary Indian national cricket team and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni finally came to bat at deep middle in the 13th match of the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) against the Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday March 3rd. 31.
In the first two games of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, MS Dhoni did not come to bat as the rest of the batsmen in the team did the job well. However, in the match against Delhi Capitals (DC), CSK needed MS Dhoni’s heroics in the order after the top batsmen failed to deliver while chasing the score.
MS Dhoni came out to bat to huge applause from the crowd after the dismissal of star batsman Shivam Dube in the 17th over for 18 runs. MS Dhoni showed his classic avatar and hit a brilliant four off the first ball he faced in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Dhoni did not end there as he continued his batting brilliance and played some absolutely incredible knocks.
MS Dhoni’s bat speed was, as always, incredible and he scored 37 runs off 16 balls. His innings was packed with four fours and three super sixes. Dhoni played an unbeaten partnership of 51 runs in 23 balls with Ravindra Jadeja. However, the duo could not help Chennai Super Kings (CSK) win the match.
In the end, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were limited to a score of 171/6 and faced their first defeat under the leadership of Ruturaj Gaikwad by 20 runs against the Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals (DC).
Coming back to MS Dhoni, he brought out his best in the last over against Delhi Capitals (DC) as he smoked Proteas’ main pacer Anrich Nortje for 20 runs in the last over.
Dhoni started with a four and followed it up with an outrageous one-handed six in the mid-wicket region. The former CSK captain then hit a four and a six in the fourth and sixth balls to get 20 runs.

Watching MS Dhoni’s classic cameo with the bat, former Australia national cricket team player Tom Moody used his official X to claim that the result of the match would have been in favor of Chennai Super Kings if Dhoni had batted earlier than Ravindra Jadeja. and Sameer Rizvi.

Dhoni’s former CSK and India teammate Suresh Raina also used his official name X to express his admiration for the legendary wicketkeeper-batsman. He said the way Dhoni hits the ball at the age of 42 is simply incredible.
