Young Mumbai batsman Musheer Khan was the hero with the bat for his team on the opening day of the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024 match. The match between India A and India B is being held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

On a tough day for batting, Musheer Khan was the lone warrior for his team and ensured that they ended the day on a strong run. The right-hander came out to bat at No. 3 and after that, he saw wickets falling quickly at the other end and the team was left reeling at 94/7.

Musheer soaked up all the pressure and made sure he got his team out of trouble. He started off slow but once he got the hang of it, he made sure he not only kept an end but also scored runs for his team, taking them to a total of over 200 runs.

Musheer Khan was also tested with the new ball but he made sure to stand his ground and fight for his team. The fast bowler bowled out the fast bowlers as he walked around the field and then looked extremely solid against off-spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Tanush Kotian.

Musheer Khan first got his half-century and then remained focused. The 19-year-old put in a great batting performance and along with Navdeep Saini, put pressure on the opposition. The batsman supported him well as the duo put together an unbeaten 100-plus stand.

Musheer, who is making his debut in the Duleep Trophy, ensured that his first match in the tournament was special. He racked up a sensational century and had everyone on their feet and applauding him for his performance, especially when other batsmen were struggling to make their mark.

Musheer also received a special recognition from his brother Sarfaraz Khan, who is also part of the same team. The Indian batsman ran out of the dressing room as his brother rang the bell and cheered him in jubilation as the young batsman celebrated.
