The incident occurred in New Zealand’s 60th inning.
During the ongoing second Test of IND vs NZ, Washington Sundar, who joined the Indian team late, testified to his great skill by managing to outplay one of the best batsmen in the Kiwi line-up.
Sundar produced a magical delivery to bowl the in-form Rachin Ravindra in the second session of the opening day of the Test in Pune. The incident occurred in the Kiwi’s 60th inning.
Starting his new spell in style, the 25-year-old hit a perfect ball to get rid of a dangerous-looking Ravindra for 65.
Sundar bowled a textbook no-spin ball from around the wicket. As the ball came in and landed at a good distance, Ravindra was tempted to step forward to take a defensive shot. However, the ball swerved away, missing Rachin’s bat and clipping the top of the stump.
An ecstatic Sundar jumped into the air to celebrate as his Indian teammates surrounded him to rejoice on the crucial wicket.
