Former Indian coach Ravi Shastri burst into laughter during the ongoing first Test between Australia and Pakistan at the WACA Stadium in Perth. While the competition between bat and ball was high, the commentators also had fun.

Ravi Shastri grabbed attention with his comments even in Australia, but one case caught the attention of many. The former Indian cricketer couldn’t control his laughter when Australian commentator Kerry O’Keeffe criticized New Zealand cricketer-turned-commentator Ian Smith.

Kerry O’Keeffe mocked Ian Smith over New Zealand’s loss to India in the ICC World Cup 2023 final. In a video that has gone viral on the internet, O’Keeffe can be heard revealing that Shaheen Afridi, Riyaz, I didn’t eat for two days when Pakistan used to lose a match.

Sharing the story, Kerry O’Keeffe mocked Ian Smith and said how long he hadn’t eaten after New Zealand suffered a crushing defeat to India in the semi-final of the ICC World Cup 2023.

Speaking on air, he said: “One of seven brothers, of course, Shaheen Shah Afridi. His elder brother, Riyaz, was a formidable bowler, with a fantastic first-class record. Do you know that when he was young, Pakistan lost a Test match and he didn’t eat for two days? What did you do when New Zealand lost?

In response to this, Ian Smith said: “(laughs) That’s a very early blow.” Ravi Shastri couldn’t control his laughter after that.

AUS vs PAK: Australia ends Day 1 of Perth Test on a high
